Pri založbi Didakta že nekaj let izhaja zbirka ZAKLADNICA SLOVENSKIH PRIPOVEDI, katere uredniki so priznani slovenski strokovnjaki in raziskovalci ljudskega pripovedništva v Sloveniji in izven njenih meja. Dr. Zmago Šmitek, dr. Monika Kropej in mag.

Carlo Scarpa was a virtuoso of light, a master of detail, a connoisseur of materials. In his lifetime he was often dismissed as “merely” an artist who also wanted to build. Today, however, it is clear that his own brand of Modernism made him one of the 20th-century architectural greats. Scarpa taught at the Venice architectural faculty. Over a period of three decades he designed exhibitions in London, Paris, Rome and Milan, and regularly for the Biennale in Venice, his native city. The major contributions to his fame, though, were museum projects such as the Gipsoteca Canoviana in Possagno and the Museo di Castelvecchio in Verona…

Animal sexuality differs from eroticism in that human sexuality is limited by taboos and the domain of eroticism is that of the transgression of these taboos” is how Georges Bataille explains eroticism. Casting a new light on that most human of acts, Roy Stuart presents us here with a book of erotic power rarely seen. The brilliant technique and skillful presentation of his videos and stills present sexuality directly and without prudery. They have earned this Paris based American a reputation as a grandmaster of the erotic camera. His photos and glimpse videos have aquired cult status even amongst experienced hardcore fans, and with good reason, for they represent an exquisite representation of the forbidden. In turns voyeuristic, in turns narrative, his pictures with their disarming explicitness subvert traditional moral codes and force the viewer to reevaluate his or her preconceived notions of sexuality. The photographs assembled in this book, which in another context might have been condemned, instead give a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes of Roy Stuart’s magical theatre of transgression and taboo…

Santiago Calatrava (1951*) was born near Valencia, Spain, and was educated there and at the ETH in Zurich. He is an outstanding figure of the world of contemporary architecture and engineering. His best-known work, in the form of bridges and towers, is closely related to his own drawings of the human body and to his sculptures of geometric forms, inspired by the dynamics of movement and tension. More recently, he has been recognized for the spectacular forms of the railway stations he has designed in Zurich and Lyon. New projects of this type are underway in Liège and Lisbon. His work is situated at the junction between art, architecture, and engineering, and he has become one of the leading figures of a new generation which is determining the shape of architectural design for the future. His new projects, in the United States and Europe, are likely to change the way we look at contemporary architecture…
